Benton MS/HS Lifetouch Pricelist
The pricing for picture packages for Middle/High School was incorrect on the order forms that were sent home. Prices should be the same as what was sent home with Elementary students. Lifetouch is going to try to get us order forms with the correct pricing to be sent home tomorrow. If that does not happen, we will be emailing parents and students a price sheet with the correct prices. If you already purchased pictures online, we were told you would be refunded the difference. We are sorry for any inconvenience.

Please read to the entire message as there is a lot of important information that needs to be relayed to families. - Breakfasts and lunches will be free for all students this year. Students will only need money if they wish to purchase a-la-cart food items. - Back to School Night will be Wednesday, August 23, 2023 from 4:30-6:30pm. Please stop in and meet your child’s teacher and pick up required paperwork. - The first day of school will be Tuesday, August 29, 2023. Bus information was mailed out, but if you did not receive bus information and your child plans on riding the bus, please call the school. - We are using a new student information system called Synergy. Students can login to the new system by going to www.bentonsd.org and clicking the link for Synergy under the banner image. You will then use the Login with Google button. This will give you access to your schedules and other information. Parents will be receiving an email with information about creating an account in the new system. Please call if you have any questions. - Students are reminded to bring their laptop cases or bags they were supposed to hang on to over the summer. - Schedule changes for Middle and High School students will be from Tuesday, August 29 to Friday, August 1. There will be a signup sheet in the Guidance Office. After that window closes, there will be no further changes to schedules. - Just a reminder to all students and parents that cell phones, smart watches, and other electronic devices will not be permitted this year. A letter was previously sent home explaining this. - If you plan to enter the school buildings once school has started, you will need to bring a government issued identification to enter. You can use either a drivers license or a state issued identification card.

Students will be turning in their chromebooks and chargers on Wednesday. We are asking all students to have their chromebooks charged when they turn them in. Students should keep their laptop bags over the summer to use again next year. If students have any damaged chromebooks, there is a $50 fee for replacement screens and $25 fee for any missing or damaged chargers. Other damage to chromebooks is based on what part is damaged.

There was a video circulating on social media with a student threatening the school. The State Police were notified and after their investigation it was determined that there is not a credible threat to any students. The student who made the post will not be in school tomorrow. We would like to thank the students and parents who notified the school and police about the situation.

The theme for this year's May Day is "ELVIS". This year's May Day will start at 12:30 on May 24, 2023 with the opening of a time capsule that was created 25 years ago by the students, staff and retired principal Dennis Scheid and then the May Day program will begin at 1:00. If you were a staff member or a student 25 years ago feel, free to come to the program and watch former teacher Bill Pasukinis open the time capsule. The contents will then be on display during the rest of May Day and afterwards in the elementary gym from 2:00-3:00. Who knows Elvis may even make an appearance.
