The Benton Area School District will be closed and using a flexible instruction day. Elementary School classes will start at 10:10 and your teachers will give you your schedule at that point. Middle and High School classes will start with first period at 10:00 and you will follow the two-hour delay schedule which is being emailed to you. To allow students, staff and community members the opportunity to attend Brandon Kocher's memorial service, the "Sound of the Season" band and chorus concert is being rescheduled to Monday, December 11 at 7pm. Band members should arrive at 6:15 and chorus members at 6:30.
The Benton Area School District students (and staff) are asked to participate in a dress up day, tomorrow, Friday, December 8th, in memory of Brandon Kocher, a student that passed away yesterday, December 6th. We will all be wearing our boots, flannel shirts and hats in remembrance of Brandon. We will also be accepting monetary donations to give to the family during this difficult time.
The Middle-Senior HS "Sounds of the Season" band and chorus concert is this Sunday Dec. 10th at 2pm. Admission is free. Students should wear concert black and white. Band reports at 1:15. Chorus reports at 1:30. Information is posted on the school's website. Come on out and enjoy this festive holiday concert.

They asked to have individuals call their customer support rather than the school relay your information to them. They feel this will allow them to speed up the processing of your refunds and photo delivery.

Join the Benton School District as we get into the spirit of Halloween with a parade, starting at the elementary school at 2:00pm on Friday. Elementary students will be in costumes and will be led by the MS/HS marching band. The Parade will start at the elementary school and go to the MS/HS and turn back around. Parents/Guardians are welcome to stand on the sidewalk opposite of the school buildings to view the parade.
The Benton Area School District will have their annual Veteran’s Day celebration on November 8th at 9:00am. All veterans are invited to attend with one guest. You and your guest are invited to arrive at 8:20 am for light refreshments in the elementary school cafeteria. If coming for refreshments, please contact the elementary school at 570-925-6651x2000. All guests can enter through the front entrance of the elementary school.
There will be a financial aid information session for parents of juniors and seniors on October 26, 2023 at 6:00 in the Benton Middle/High School Library.

The homecoming parade will take place on Friday evening on Park Street. The parade will begin at 5:30 at the Benton Dam and move towards the Elementary School. The Middle School dance will still place at the Elementary School at 6:30. There will not be breakfast on Saturday morning at the athletics fields, but the concession stand will be open during all the games. Please come out to support the students of Benton High School!
